Company History - Pegasus Horseshoes |
|
A J Pledger and Company was established in Stamford at the end of the 19th Century. Being close to the heart of rural England, the demand for horseshoes and steel bar was very high indeed and as a consequence, the company flourished over three successive generations of the Pledger family to become the leading farriers’ merchant in the country.
In 1974, the company became sole distributor for a new range of high quality horseshoes namely Pegasus. After a number of years as successful trading partners, Pegasus Horseshoes Ltd acquired A J Pledger and Company when the last member of the Pledger family retired. Since 1980, the merged companies have been managed by Simon Dale, founder and owner of Pegasus Horseshoes Ltd.
Traditional standards of personal service and attention to detail are still much in evidence today, whilst the company has also adopted the latest manufacturing techniques to provide a comprehensive choice of high quality horseshoes and equipment for professional farriers.
